Fall is here!

On Wednesday we took Jack to Mother Nature's Farm in Gilbert. He LOVED watching all of the other children run around and play and jump around in the bouncy thing. Jack and Eddie went on a hayride, picked out pumpkins, talked to a cow, and ate hot dogs. Jack even got his first few tastes of cotton candy (it would have been the whole bag if he had been in charge). We had a great couple of hours and the boys were adorable.

Yum Yum Yum Yum

Here are some more of Jack's one year photos - note the guilty look on his face in some of them! The photographer said that most babies get upset when they get this messy, but Jack remained focused the entire time and we think he actually did eat a good amount of the frosting. By the end of his photo shoot, he somehow ended up sitting on top of the cupcake - what a mess!

One Year Photos!

Well, it has been so long since I have posted- my apologies to all Jack fans! He has been a truly amazing little guy. He can now walk (he mostly holds on to things, but can walk when he chooses) and he cruises around muttering little words to himself. He tries to open all of the cabinets in the kitchen and when scolded he just looks at me, grins, and RAISES AN EYEBROW no matter how firmly I tell him no! What a little devil!! We are very proud to show him off so we have some new photos from a couple of days ago to celebrate his upcoming ONE YEAR! Time has certainly flown by to say the least.

Keeping Cool

Working on their tans (well just Jack)

Fun with Papa
Awesome pics of Eddie

Playing In The Grass

I just thought that these pictures of Jack were cute. We went out and played in the front yard before a storm was coming so it was windy and cool and Jack enjoyed himself quite a bit.

The New Nap Time

Now that Jack is older and more aware the nap time=less play time, he is becoming more resistant to going to sleep even if he is really tired. I just wanted to post a photo of an example of the destruction that goes on in his crib before he passes out. Note the crooked mobile and torn down bumper!

No More Tears!!

For those of you that have spent some time with Jack, you are probably familiar with his left eye crying/overflowing all of the time or being crusted shut. Or all of the random people in public asking Jack why he was crying (Hello people, he is a BABY!) We took him to the pediatric opthamologist to discover that his tear duct was clogged and would require surgery. We nervously awaited today when he was scheduled for the surgery at Phoenix Children's Hospital. The most challenging part was that we could not feed Jack for six hours prior to the surgery which meant that he had to skip breakfast, however he proved to be a pretty good little patient. When he got fussy waiting, Eddie took him to the play area and showed him the toys and he loved the Cozy Coupe as well. He then took a nap in his purple hospital gown with koala bears in space ships, which ended up looking more like a toga and then Dr. Underdahl was finally ready for him. He went back to the O.R. as we all kissed him goodbye and after six minutes of being asleep his surgery was done. Dr. Underdahl came out to let us know that he did great and we could go and get him. When we got back to the recovery room a few moments later, he was screaming at a nurse because he had snatched her water bottle and she had taken it back from him. He gulped down 8 ounces of apple juice immediately and the nurse told us that he had sat right up in bed when he woke up and was just looking around where as most children start freaking out immediately. We were able to leave the hospital soon after then took some pictures when we got home as Jack drank even more apple juice while Eddie showed him his "get well" presents and entertained him by dancing.

We truly feel blessed to have such a healthy family, as being at the children's hospital really made us think about all of the less fortunate families that were there. Our boys are amazing and Eddie takes such good care of his little brother - he is one in a million!

2 Blue Polos

Jack and Daddy ended up wearing the same clothes today...blue polos and khaki shorts...we just HAD TO snap a pic.

Jurassic Jack

Jack has now awoken from his nap ready for action...

The Swing

Well after eight months Jack finally doesn't scream when he is put in his baby swing. As you can see here he loves it as long as he has his toys and it is an easy way to corral him when neccesary:-) After playing with his toys in it all morning, he is now fast asleep as I pray it does not shut off and wake him! Jack has been such a good boy and we are amazed every day by the new things that he is learning. He rarely cries - it is only when he is really tired or extra hungry. Other than that he is one of the happiest babies imaginable!
