Two Weeks....

Here is the little guy at two weeks old, wearing his first real outfit!  Thanks Jen! It took Mommy a while to get it on since she is still learning! We propped him up on the Cuddler for a photo shoot and at first he seemed a little uncertain, but by the last picture he looks like a little pro at posing for the camera!

One Week....

Here is our adorable little man laying on his Boppy pillow - one week old. We could not ask for a more adorable little guy! Not a whole lot going on in the Calrow house but sleeping and eating - but mostly eating! He is so calm and even tempered - until he is hungry -watch out! As soon as Jack decides that he is hungry he starts shaking his head back and forth frantically and snorts and cries. It is so funny to witness - I am sure that other babies do this too, but gets such a crazed look in his eye that it is too funny, but I always race to his rescue!

The Big Day!!

On October 25, 2008 at 1:10 A.M. we finally welcomed baby Jack into the world. We were all so excited and couldn't believe that Jack had finally arrived. Our little chunker weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Jack's due date was November 7th, but mommy had a talk with him on October 24th and promised him that if he came out to play then there would be plenty of hugs and kisses waiting for him - and toys:-) He came out roaring like a little lion and mommy and daddy snuggled him until he felt better. Eddie came in and was the first one to hold him, then Grammy and Aunt Dawn got to meet him as well. Eddie refused to even take a catnap in the waiting room - he had been at the hospital with us since 8A.M. that morning and could not contain himself. He was a trooper and was very sad when he had to leave the hospital to go home and get some rest for a few hours before he and daddy returned early the next morning. Jack was taken to the NICU for a chest X-ray and some monitoring because he was "grunting" - it was like a growling noise that he was making because of fluid in his lungs. Jack and mommy were reunited a few hours later when Dr. Sudha said that he was fine and his noise had been reduced to "singing". Both noises were so adorable that mommy was suprised that he needed to stay in the nursery, but it did allow mommy some much needed rest and a huge room downstairs for the rest of their stay. Jack also had jaundice, which sent him back to the nursery on occasion to enjoy a nice UV bed where he relaxed and soaked up some rays with his little goggles on. After this, everyone was happy and healthy and we started getting to know our little Jack-Jack!
